Location: Nosbonsing Lake, Near Astorville, Ontario
Are you looking for an artist's/naturalist's getaway where you can enjoy great fishing and boating as well as wonderful views? This rustic log cabin was built years ago from logs taken from the lake. Both the interior and exterior walls are the same logs and this is a very unique feature of this cabin. You can be assured of privacy after a long day hiking or boating.
The cabin is all one room with a fridge, stove and microwave in the kitchen area. There is a table and chairs to seat four. The living room area has a chair and futon which will fold into a double bed for sleeping. Heating, if necessary, is provided by a wood stove.
The exposure is eastern and the property gets the sun for nearly all day. The slope to the water is rock and halfway down there is a cleared area for the fire pit and then you continue on to the dock. There is 200 feet of frontage. A paddleboat and canoe are provided for your enjoyment of the lake. The water is about four feet at the end of the dock. You can access the lake for swimming from the stairs on the dock. Lake Nosbonsing is famous for its plentiful fishing and the artist/photographer will get some stunning views without even leaving the property.
Not far from the cottage about 5 minutes drive down the road there is a public boat launch and sandy beach with recreational and tourism opportunities.
While it's rare to find two rental cottages side by side, this cabin is located next to a larger sister cottage Morgan Cottage F333. Close enough to have the family vacation together yet far enough to have privacy, sleeps up to 6 people.
