This is a beautiful and private setting, on Pickerel Lake, with gorgeous clear, clean water for swimming and canoeing. This comfortably characteristic, Muskoka style cottage sits high above the lake on a well-treed, mixed forest property.
Enter the kitchen, and step into the open concept cottage with a cozy, pine living room complete with large picture windows overlooking the lake. The kitchen, dining and main living area all face northwest, toward the lake, while the 3 bedrooms and bathroom are on the back or south side. The master bedroom has the most privacy, with a great view of the surrounding mature forest and a new king bed. Two other bedrooms are found along the same hallway, one with a set of bunk beds, and the other with a double bed and bunk beds. The bathroom with three-piece with shower is conveniently located near the bedrooms.
A circular screened porch, off the dining area, showcases a stunning view of the lake and beckons the arrival of the morning sun. The side by side kitchen and living room has a dining table that will seat six. Relax on the modern, comfortable sofas in the living area to read a novel, play a board game, or watch a film. Newly improved Starlink internet allows for high speed internet and a strong signal for cell reception.
A two-tier deck is conveniently located across the side of the cottage nearest the kitchen, complete with BBQ and Muskoka chairs, that also offers a wonderful view of the lake, and where guests can sit back and enjoy the moon on the water and take in the ever popular starry nights.
Just steps from the cottage is a charming, little A-frame bunkie. The bunkie provides sleeping for four with two sets of single bunk beds - not recommended for children under five years.
A steep decent down a set of wooden steps leads from the cottage to the waterfront. Here the water can be entered by way of a ladder off the dock. The depth of the water at the end of the dock is approximately 14 feet. The jagged shoreline is au-naturelle, lined with small rocks and native vegetation. Seating is provided at the dock.
A canoe is available for travel by water. Exploration of this quiet lake will reveal interesting bays and inlets and the viewing of abundant of wildlife. Pickerel Lake Park is nearby and offers a beach and public 'sand and gravel' boat launch.
**Check-in: after 4:00pm and Check-out: before 10:00am
**Vacationer supplies their own linens: Sheets and pillowcases + Inside towels, kitchen towels and beach towels. Please inquire about other arrangements.
**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels.
**Adult life jackets are supplied. Vacationers must bring their own children's life jackets due to safety and liability concerns.
