La Maison Soixante-Douze
Location: Lake Bernard, near Sundridge, Ontario.
Lake Bernard is the largest freshwater lake without an island in the
world. La Maison De Soixante-Douze, a wonderful cottage located on
the shores of Lake Bernard, gives you a wonderful view of this world
famous lake. The 150 feet of shoreline offers a firm sandy entry and
150 feet long soft bottom sand bar which younger children will
enjoy. The front yard is an immense level property where you can
enjoy badminton, basketball or horseshoes. Sit down at the picnic
table and listen to the waves of Lake Bernard lap at the shoreline.
14 stairs will lead you down to the waterfront from the cottage.
If privacy is what you are after this location is ideal for you.
Mature trees surround the lot and no neighbours can be seen … a
welcome change from the metropolis. Seventy-two stairs from the road
lead you down to the cottage. It is well worth the walk. We do
recommend that when you first go to the cottage, you come in the
daylight since it would be easier to unload your supplies.
A fantastic working kitchen awaits you. The kitchen seats six and
you can look out the bay window at the brilliant view due to the
elevation of the cottage. Expect to see spectacular sunsets. The
cathedral ceilings give the cottage an airy spacious feeling. A wood
stove will take the chill off a cool evening. There are three
bedrooms and a three-piece bathroom. The first bedroom has a large
king-sized bed with patio doors that lead to a deck. The second has
two single beds. In the third bedroom you will find a bunk with a
double bottom and single bed on top. Hardwood floors and carpeting
cover the floors of the cottage.
Pets allowed on owners approval.
