Georgian Gem is a very prestigious cottage. This five-level, 4000 square foot, split-level home has it all, from the unique ceramic at the entrance right up to the hot tub on the top floor. The view of Loon Bay is breathtaking and unobstructed through the glass railing and numerous windows throughout this magnificent home, and the southwest exposure provides spectacular sunsets from the 100 by 400 foot lot.
Georgian Gem has an open-concept living, dining, and kitchen area. The kitchen comes fully equipped with fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The 30 foot ceilings here showcase the unique architecture. The fabulous meals you prepare can be served in the dining area that seats eight, or on the patio while enjoying the view of the majestic waters surrounding Georgian Bay’s 30,000 Islands. A propane barbeque will help with this task.
The comfortable leather furnishings in the living room are a great spot to watch the 50 inch satellite TV. A DVD, VCR and home stereo are available for your enjoyment as well.
Off the living area there is a spacious master bedroom with a king-size bed and three-piece en-suite bathroom which includes a shower. The walk-in closet has ample space, and the patio can be accessed from this room.
The second level of this split-level home contains two more spacious bedrooms, each of which offers a queen-size bed. The main four-piece bath is located here, as well as the laundry room with washer and dryer. You will also find a freezer for your use.
A spiral staircase brings you up to the games and exercise room on the third floor. Here there is a pool table that may interest you. If burning off a few calories and getting in shape is important to you, then the tread mill, stationary bike or bow-flex machine can be put to use while watching TV or enjoying the impressive view of the water. This upscale house boasts three fireplaces, two of which are propane, and a wood burning fireplace can be found in this recreation room. If you have business to take care of while you are away, internet access is also available.
The second master bedroom located on the fourth floor has a king-size bed and a lovely sitting area to sit by the fireplace and read or watch TV. A walk-out offers direct access to one of the decks.
Relax in a hot tub, comfortable for four people, on the fifth level of this magnificent house.
As amazing as this home is, you will not want to spend all your time indoors. The landscaping, stone gardens and fountain add to the attraction of this retreat. A picnic table sits atop the embankment and allows you to take in the magical surroundings.
The beach house at the shoreline is 88 steps down. In the beach house you will find an extra fridge and enviro-friendly toilet. If you want to venture out on the water, the canoe, kayak, paddleboat and small sailboat provide plenty of options. If you are bringing a motor boat, it can be moored at the 48-foot dock. While the water is 12 feet deep at the dock, in between the dock and the land there is a shallow, sandy bottom area for youngsters to play.
