Tucked away on the shores of fabulous Mary Lake, and a short drive to Huntsville or the quaint village of Port Sydney, this comfortable cottage is the perfect place to relax, swim or go boating.
Hilarity Hall is situated in private and peaceful surroundings
on a beautifully-treed gently sloping lot with 400 feet of
frontage. The expansive island-dotted western views of Mary Lake
are spectacular at any time of day. Although the
waterfront cannot be seen from the cottage, it can be enjoyed from the
shore or the new dock.
The
living room/dining room area (with cathedral ceiling) has a
fireplace to take the chill off those cooler evenings. Enjoy
your meals in the dining room or on the deck, which can be
accessed through sliding glass doors. The lower level of the
cottage (with a walkout to the yard) provides a large recreation room,
a great place for all the family to gather or for teens to hang
out.
Hilarity Hall has three bedrooms: the master bedroom offers a
queen size bed, and the second bedroom (also on the main floor)
has two single beds. A 4-piece bathroom is located on this
floor. On the upper level, you will find a third bedroom which
has a queen bed, and a second 4-piece bathroom. A
sitting area overlooking the living/dining area is the ideal
place to curl up with a good book.
Waterfront activities can include swimming from the shore or
dock, taking the canoe or rowboat out to explore nearby islands,
catching the wind and waves on the windsurfer, or simply
enjoying the views of Mary Lake, or soaking up the sun whilst
relaxing on the dock.
Mary Lake connects to Fairy Lake, Peninsula Lake and Lake Vernon
via the Muskoka River and the historic locks at Brunel Road.
These four large lakes provide approximately 70 kilometers of
boating, with hundred of bays to explore and beautiful scenery
to enjoy.
