Looking for that perfect family vacation and a true cottage experience?  Lake House Cottage, situated on a quiet lake between Lake Joseph and lake Rosseau, is the one for you!

This open concept cottage has windows at the front of the cottage allowing the outside in. With hardwood floors and exquisite décor, the cottage has all the comforts of home. The sitting room is located at the front of the cottage and has a great view of the lake, and a gas fireplace for those cool fall nights. Adjoining the sitting room is the kitchen and sunroom. With so much open space, everyone will feel like they are part of the action.

The gourmet kitchen, featuring a fridge, gas stove, dishwasher and microwave, makes meal preparation and clean up easy. There is no detail that has been overlooked and everything you could want to prepare a delicious meal is on hand. There is an island with four unique bar stools that separates the kitchen and sitting room.

The sunroom offers extensive windows and sky lights, comfortable seating for four and a dining table with seating for four. Sliding glass doors lead from the sunroom onto the deck which features a patio table and six cushioned chairs. This will quickly become the favourite spot for dining alfresco or enjoying a morning cup of coffee.

The main floor also features the master bedroom with a 3-piece ensuite bathroom. The bedroom has a double size bed, a closet and a ceiling fan. It is nicely decorated with large double French doors that allow natural light to enter, and gives a wonderful feeling of comfort and relaxation. There is also a private balcony that has two Muskoka chairs and a table top gas fire pit.

The teenagers in the group will appreciate the lower level of the cottage where there is a living room with television, and a large selection of puzzles and games. And should you be bringing your laptop, high speed WiFi internet is available. On this level there are three bedrooms and a four-piece bathroom. The first and second bedrooms have double size beds and the third has a set of bunk beds with a double bed on the bottom and single on top. All the bedrooms offer a view of the lake. Double French doors provide access from the living room to the outdoors.

Follow the stone path down a gentle slope, past a bunkie that sleeps two, to the waterfront. Once at the dock you will find a variety of Muskoka chairs as well as a patio table that features a table top fire pit. On those hot summer days swimming can be enjoyed from the dock and swim dock. A canoe and kayak are also provided for exploring the lake. This cottage is ideally suited for families with children that are eight years or older.

Port Carling, the hub of the Muskoka lakes, located 20 minutes away, at the junction of Lakes Rosseau and Muskoka, offers fine and casual dining, unique shops, golf, and a beautiful public beach and park, and antique and art shows and tours. Bracebridge, about 35 minutes away, has a choice of restaurants, quaint shops, live theatre, Santa’s village and boat tours on the ‘Lady Muskoka’.
