Location: Sparrow Lake, Near Gravenhurst, Ontario

The natural Muskoka beauty of gentle rocky slopes and towering trees awaits you at this family oriented cottage that sits on a two-acre lot. You will find Muskoka chairs and tables scattered about so you can sit and enjoy the view anywhere. The 700 feet of water frontage has two different types of swimming areas; a gradual Muskoka rock entry at the front of the cottage and a beautiful gradual sandy beach area out by the dock to the side.

The dock is approximately 5 X 24 feet, with four feet of water at the end with sun exposure during the morning and afternoon. You can keep a boat up to twenty feet at the dock. Along the shoreline there are Muskoka chairs and a hammock to relax and catch the summer rays while watching the kids play in the water. Sparrow lake is an excellent fishing lake due to Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe both feeding into it. To list a few of the different types of fish one may hope to catch; smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, walleye, muskie and catfish. A few years ago a 47.5" Muskie was caught just off the point.

This open concept cottage has a eight by twelve screened porch with seating for six and a card table for those fun filled family card games.

The newly renovated kitchen contains all new stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove, microwave), a beautiful and large granite countertop as well as new Rustic Alder cupboards. There are two stools for use at the kitchen island, and a dining table that will seat six to eight people. The cottage runs lake water and is not potable. There is a water cooler provided for vacationers to bring their own 18L jugs for drinking. If one does run out of anything, the closest store is "The Tinman", approximately twenty minutes away, and located at the swing bridge.

The living room contains windows on both front water facing walls giving cottagers a beautiful panoramic view of the lake. There is comfortable seating for eight people including the pull-out couch in the living room, making it the perfect place to curl up after a long day of fun and relax while picking through the large and impressive movie collection available at the cottage. The television also offers Bell Express Vu satellite. Not only is there a great selection of VHS and DVD movies but numerous games and puzzles for all to enjoy. Bell cell phones work great around the entire property, however there is no internet or WIFI available.

There are two bedrooms in the main cottage. Both containing queens on the bottom and singles on the top. The bathroom has also been newly renovated and is ten by twelve feet with a double sink, shower, toilet, beautiful slate flooring and a washer/dryer combo.

For additional sleeping, there is a two-room cabin containing a double bed, single bed, seating, a dresser as well as a television set. The front room of the small wood cabin contains wicker seating with two chairs and an extra fridge with a microwave and dart board.

Outside between the cabin and the cottage is a barbecue perfectly situated facing the waterfront. A great place to grill dinner, enjoy a beverage and relax with the family. There is an extra barbecue tank located in the tool shed amongst lifejackets and water toys. There is a chimnea located on the outdoor patio area that is great for small fires. The fire pit is located at "Sunset Point" which is off to the right of the cottage waterfront where the natural Muskoka rock blooms, it is this very spot that is ideal for relaxing and taking in the view. There are natural stone formations that allow comfortable and large seating areas for everyone to take in nature at its finest. This is also a great spot for star gazing. If you are planning to have bonfires a fire permit will be needed, this can be obtained at Port Stanton, or the Township of Severn.

The cottage welcomes your pets, however vacationers must have proof of updated shots and flea medication. All pets MUST be kept off the beds and couches.
