This recently renovated lakeside cottage seamlessly combines modern elegance with classic charm, offering an exceptional retreat in a natural setting. Located close to the town of South River and on a large lake with shallow entry, games room, and full connectivity ensure all the comforts of home, and more!
There are five tastefully decorated bedrooms, room for twelve guests, and 2.5 modern bathrooms in this cottage. The interior features high-quality finishes, open-concept living areas, and expansive windows that provide panoramic views of the lake.
There are five bedrooms, three are on the main floor. The first spacious bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser, large closet, and French doors that open to the deck facing the lake. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, large closet, end tables, and large window for natural daylight. The third bedroom on the main floor has two sets of children sized twin bunk beds. Large windows and closet complement this ample sized room. Two additional bedrooms are on the lower level. Each of these classy bedrooms have a queen-sized bed, a dresser, and windows that offer a view of the lake.
The luxury, fully equipped kitchen is a bright open concept style. High-end stainless-steel refrigerator, stove, sink and microwave are well appointed in this elegant kitchen. A large, well lit, sleek island offers an extra meal prep area. Four fashionable covered chairs are tucked under the island. A handy nook beside the kitchen with coffee pot and mini fridge is a popular spot any time of day.
The rustic beams, large flat-screen television, and wall fireplace make this an enjoyable space in any weather. There are two luxe three-seater couches, and two cozy oversized chairs with pillows and large coffee table in this living room. A wall of windows with doors leading to the lakeside deck ensure lake views from any seat.
A state-of-the-art main floor 3-piece bathroom boasts a stylish floating vanity with a single sink, large glass door shower, and toilet. A spacious spa-like ambiance is inviting. The second ultra modern three-piece bathroom downstairs is also chic and has a floating vanity, large rectangle glass door shower, and a toilet. The two-piece powder room has a sink, refined fixtures, and toilet.
In the lower level, a games room complete with a Foos ball table, games table, and second refrigerator make this a great space to hang out in. The downstairs sliding glass doors offer an easy exit to head to the lake.
The outside of this cottage is just as inviting as the inside. An upper-level deck runs along the entire length of the cottage on the lake side. This generous decking is complete with 2 Muskoka chairs and table, and a wicker style three-seater couch with 2 ottomans. Equally as long, the lower patio with sliding glass doors and numerous fully screened in windows, has 4 Muskoka chairs to view the lake. There is a stylish fire pit by the lake with 4+ chairs.
The dock and mini ladder to the shallow entry into the water, make it accessible for all ages. The firm sand and level 200ft shoreline are appealing in addition to a panoramic view around the lake.
South River has walking trails, abundant wildlife, and is close to Mikisew Provincial Park, making it an ideal vacation choice for both peaceful retreats and recreational pursuits. Check out the Crystal Cave and Mineral exhibit or stroll along Cascade Falls. Outdoor Adventures offer one-of-a-kind guided ATV tours that explore rugged trails and scenic waterways.
This cottage is fully winterized with a gas furnace and electric fireplace keep this cottage cozy on even the coldest of days. In South River during the winter, you can enjoy outdoor winter activities like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Check out Almaguin Highlands Community Trails, Discovery Routes trails, or the Near North Snowdrifters Association.

**Linen packages are available for this cottage, but vacationers are welcome to supply their own. A linen package includes sheets, pillowcases and towels for indoor use. The price for this will be shown as an option in the booking request form.
