Vacationer Comments

"Excellent property that's perfect for a family. It was private, quiet and had great water access for kids (beach and dock). We loved the log cabin too! Lots of character and everything you need in a cottage. The new bathroom was also lovely and appreciated." - S.G

"Private quiet location with great waterfront. Cottage rooms where spacious" - T.E

"The location was perfect...very private! The lot was really nice, well tended and loved the lakeside patio! Pen Lake is one of our favourites! This cottage is very rustic." - L.R

"The secluded location on a point in the lake the multiple spots for reading and relaxing so that you didn't feel you were on top of others the screened in porch the gardens." - M.F

"This cottage exceeded our expectations & hope to look forward to many more holidays here." - S.B

"Great space, view, wharf and beach was perfect for a three and four year old!" - S.G

"This was our second year at Heritage Log. The large, bright bedrooms are terrific and having a dishwasher in the kitchen was a real bonus! The kids loved the Wi-Fi access as well. The various seating areas outside were well-used by our family, and we liked being able to play in the sand." - C.B

"What a lovely place to spend a week relaxing. Very quiet and beautiful location. We enjoying sitting in the Muskoka room in the morning sipping coffee and soaking up the sun on the beautiful flag stoned patio right at the water's edge. The lake was nice and warm to swim in but do suggest to bring swim shoes because there was a wide band of slippery rocks you need to cross over before you hit the deeper waters. The cabin itself is enchanting and harkens back to the era of handmade log cabins. The kitchen had everything we needed and than some to make meals. And the best part...no mosquitos. Never been at a cottage where I wasn't eaten alive and this was sheer bliss. Great cottage for families, girlfriends connecting and two couples." - B.M

"We loved the cottage - the property is perfect to accommodate everyone's needs for swimming, boating or just relaxing. It was nice to have a kitchen with full amenities/dishwasher option. The waterfront was great as were the docking facilities." - M.W

"We loved that this was a cottagey cottage. True old Muskoka style. We loved the living room and big stone fireplace. Also, the master bedroom was large, spacious and very comfortable. The waterfront was absolutely beautiful. The cottage and grounds were very well kept and we thoroughly enjoyed the different seating areas and gardens. The muskoka chairs by the firepit was our favourite spot for our evening martini. Wonderful lake and great water for swimming." - S.M

"Flat and beautiful sunny property, view from penninsula advantages, sand beach area, penninsula of lawn overlooking lake's edge, situation of bedrooms, well outfitted kitchen, fireplace, card room, firewood left for us, second fridge and laundry in Bump House, lovely water for swimming. Lots of squirrels." - S.R

"We loved the cottage in every way. It suited the four of us so much. We loved the fact that the two big bedrooms were at different ends of the cottage. The little card room was used every night to play bridge. The Muskoka room was so beautiful and lovely to sit in. We sat down on the dock each morning and had our coffee and toast. Canoeing and swimming were daily activities. A beautiful cottage on a wonderful lake. We so enjoyed the change: time together, time to have silence and peace of mind and all that beauty just outside the back door." - D. G.

"The cottage Exceeded our expectations. We liked the classic Muskoka feel, ease of renting a boat on the lake for wakeboarding/skiing or just boating into town for lunch, clean water/good swimming, remote but not too remote, nice sunsets, I really can’t say enough nice things about the cottage." - J. Family

"Log cabin charm – gorgeous lakefront, with multiple seating areas. Beautifully maintained and equipped. Absolutely stunning fireplace (great in cool fall days). Very, very, very comfy beds! Everything was perfect and perfectly charming. Will definitely be looking forward to an opportunity to spend a longer time at this one next summer!" - JW

"Older Muskoka Road elegance at its finest. We loved the slanting floors…they just added to the cottage experience. Loved the screened in porch... and all the waterfront views." - M.B.

"I loved the property and the cottage itself was beautiful, historic, what a cottage should be. The shoreline was wonderful for kids. It was a very relaxing week and I would definitely rent this cottage again." - S.O.

"What we liked the best - The location, being secluded and on the lake. The patio area. The dock and sandy area. The use of a canoe. The BBQ. The washer and dryer machines. The outdoor and indoor fireplaces. The large airy bedrooms. The great views of the lake." - AS
