Location: Deer Lake, Near Katrine, Ontario

Nature enthusiasts will thoroughly enjoy this tranquil cottage with its abundant wildlife sightings of moose, beaver, heron, ducks and geese as well as the many birds that come to dinner (as well as breakfast and lunch) at the several bird feeders strung out along the front and side of the cottage.

There is a covered shelter with a outdoor fireplace which can be used as a fire pit. There is seating provided in the shelter, and multiple chairs and tables on the property. The waterfront is 300 feet and is grassy with a cement wall, and a boat ramp where you can walk into the water if you don’t want to use the dock. The paddleboat and two canoes will come in handy when exploring this corner of beautiful Deer Lake and seeking out some of the wildlife. The dock is approximately 40 ft. with a water depth at the end of 3.5 feet. There is no ladder, and it gets full sun all day. Fishermen can launch their boat right on the property and the dock will accommodate a boat up to 19’. The lake is known for major fish species including large and smallmouth bass, northern pike, and perch.

Just off the entryway leading into the cottage, there is a full laundry room with a washer and dryer, and on the other side, a sunroom with a couch and a card table if anyone wishes to set up a puzzle, game or just have a card game. This room leads into the dining/living room area with a dining table to seat 8. The living room couch will seat 5 or 6 comfortably while you watch satellite TV or curl up with a DVD movie. There is a propane fireplace in the living room for rainy or cool days. Windows in each of these rooms have a wonderful view of the lake, not to mention all the birds arriving at the feeders. There is a deck along the full side of the house facing the lake.

The kitchen is spacious and has everything needed to get the meals ready with plenty of cupboards and counter space. There are dishes and place settings for 12 plus. The dishwasher will make clean up easier and give more time for relaxing.

The master bedroom and three-piece ensuite bath with jetted tub is located off the living room and has a queen bed. There is a second three-piece bath with a shower off the kitchen. Upstairs in the loft there is a queen bed, a double bed and 2 single beds for additional sleeping. There is also a bunkie with a double bed and which faces the water down by the dock. Here if guests are lucky, they can wake up and see moose sifting through the lily pads for breakfast. With the bunkie, the property sleeps 8 to 10 family members in comfort.

This great cottage will make lasting memories of a great family time together.
