Location: Yolanda Bay, Near Baysville, Ontario

Located in the quaint hamlet of Baysville, this charming cottage is a tranquil retreat that promises an authentic cottage experience. It is secluded in the trees providing plenty of privacy. Ideal for couples or a family, this cottage blends many features of old and new to create the perfect eclectic, rustic cottage.

This northeast facing cottage is situated on a quiet bend of Yolanda Bay and has sun for most of the day. It is the quintessential spot to enjoy, relax and feel the benefit of sun-kissed skin, or go for a calm paddle to explore nature. Take pleasure in wandering down the short pathway that is surrounded by saplings to go swimming or enjoy time on the dock sitting in the Muskoka chairs. Choose to swim off the end of the dock, or wade in water slowly to cool down on a hot day. The waterfront entry is soft with a rocky bottom, so water shoes are recommended. Not far from the water front, off the same pathway, is the fire pit area. Sitting around a fire is the optimal place to end the day reflecting on memories in the making.

The kitchen is equipped with a vintage stove, new infrared toaster oven and an inviting breakfast bar. Choose to dine inside or out, the open concept main floor has a dining area that seats six people. On the deck, enjoy mealtime outside using the BBQ while taking in the picturesque views of the waterfront. The deck features bistro-style furniture, great for entertaining.

The cottage has two bedrooms, one on the main floor with a queen bed. The large upstairs loft area has a queen bed, a queen futon option and a single bed. The loft area is open concept and would be suitable for a couple with young children, or as an area for older kids. There is one, newly renovated bathroom located on the main floor, equipped with a tiled walk-in shower with window, toilet and sink.

The bright, open concept living room space has a vintage vibe with furniture from the eras. An antique cabinet is filled with various board games for evenings and rainy days. A unique feature for card game players is the coffee table that converts to a multi-games table including poker, blackjack, craps and roulette. On the chillier evenings, relax by the woodstove with a book and cozy blanket.

For craft beer lovers, or those looking to try samples from the local craft brewery, three Growlers are provided at the cottage for refill at the Lake of Bays Brew house only a short drive away. Bracebridge and Huntsville are only a quick 20 minute drive away for all amenities. Consider a day trip to explore local shops, popular restaurants, seasonal festivals, farmer’s markets and more.
