Hidden within a grove of towering pine trees on the edge of a small lake in Muskoka, Cathedral Grove is a cottage built to soak up and reflect the beauty of its natural surroundings. A couple of hours away from the busyness of cities, and five minutes away from the quiet village of Rosseau, the cottage rests as a sanctuary of relaxation and revitalization.
Warm, wood accents of its exterior siding and interior walls elevate a rustic atmosphere. Cathedral Grove is characterized by soaring, sloped ceilings and large windows that fill each space with natural light.
The living room on the main floor is furnished with several couches and a television. The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven with gas stove, toaster, coffee maker, and kettle. Connected to the kitchen is the dining room, where meals can be shared at the table with eight seats. The laundry room with washer and dryer is found just off the kitchen.
The main floor has three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a double bed, twin bed, and closet. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has a double bed, ceiling fan, and closet. Each bedroom has windows that offer a glimpse of the outdoors, and share a nearby three-piece bathroom, complete with a walk-in rainfall shower, toilet, and sink.
Upstairs is the fourth bedroom, which features a queen-size bed and windows that overlook the living room and share its view. Its four-piece ensuite bathroom has a shower with a bathtub, toilet and marble-cut sink set against hardwood walls, combining elements of elegant and rustic design.
Outside, the expansive deck offers full immersion into the surrounding environment of the woods and lake, which can be enjoyed whether relaxing on a pair of Muskoka chairs or sharing a meal around the outdoor dining table with its eight seats. On a lower section of the deck, a barbecue is available, and for cooler evenings spent outdoors, a small fire pit is located next to the deck.
A short path down stone steps and through a short brush of trees leads to the waterfront. At the lake, the dock and shallow, natural shoreline offer space for sunbathing or taking an afternoon dip in the water. For those who want to get out on the water, a pair of canoes, a kayak, and a pedal boat can be found on the shore, and tie-ups for boats are available on the dock.
The driveway is steep and layered with gravel. Parking is available at the top.
Cathedral Grove offers an experience of Muskoka in all its glory. From the peace of nature to the view of the natural landscape, the cottage is suited for all kinds of visitors: those looking for quiet escape, those seeking adventure in cottage country, and those wanting a bit of both.

**Linen packages are available for this cottage, but vacationers are welcome to supply their own. A linen package includes sheets, pillowcases and towels for indoor use. The price for this will be shown as an option in the booking request form.
**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels.
**Adult life jackets are supplied. Vacationers must bring their own children's life jackets due to safety and liability concerns
