Situated in the picturesque town of Mactier and offering views of iconic Lake Joseph, Footprints to Joe is a recently renovated two-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage. Bright and welcoming, this charming 900 square foot cottage presents the ideal opportunity for small families or young couples looking to spend a week in Muskoka.
Small but mighty, this bungalow style cottage offers sleeping accommodations for seven guests, spread between two bedrooms. In the master bedroom, space has been optimized with two queen beds, and a trundle bed that can be extended to optimize space. In addition, the master bedroom features a three-piece ensuite. In the second bedroom there is a king bed with a bright, welcoming interior.
The living room is centered around a large wood-burning stone fireplace that provides the room with a cozy ambiance for those cool summer nights. Above the fireplace there is a 55” TV with a Chromecast for streaming movies and TV shows.
In the kitchen, guests will find large windows that flood the room with natural light and offer views of the porch, yard, and lake. The upgraded kitchen is fully equipped, including a stove with oven, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a rice cooker. Situated next to the windows is a large harvest dining table. With seating for up to six guests there is ample space for everyone.
Just off the kitchen is a small laundry room with a washer and dryer for guests’ convenience. In the main living space, a small hallway leads to the second, four-piece bathroom.
Outdoors, guests will find a spacious wrap-around porch with views of Lake Joseph and the surrounding area. With plenty of tree coverage, this space is ideal for relaxing in the sun and watching the world pass by. In addition, the cottage offers a covered section of the porch with shady sitting areas for those hot summer days.
While this property has no direct waterfront access, a short three-minute walk away will take guests to Foot’s Bay Marina. With watercraft rentals available, guests are provided with the opportunity to explore famous Lake Joseph, with its stunning shorelines and magnificent waterfront homes. The town of Mactier has a public beach only minutes from the cottage on Stewart Street.
Muskoka is a playground. With countless culinary delights, golf courses, attractions, and ample shopping, all within travelling distance of the cottage, there are endless ventures to explore. Explore the nearby towns of Mactier, Port Carling, or Bala. Have lunch on the beach, take a hike at Hardy Lake Provincial Park, or head north to Parry sound and discover Georgian Bay on the 30,000 Island Cruise

**Check-in: after 4:00pm and Check-out: before 10:00am
**Linen packages are available for this cottage, but vacationers are welcome to supply their own. A linen package includes sheets, pillowcases and towels for indoor use. The price for this will be shown as an option in the booking request form.
**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels.
**Adult life jackets are supplied. Vacationers must bring their own children’s life jackets due to safety and liability concerns.
