The waterfront is rocky and surrounded by natural vegetation, offering a peaceful, unspoiled setting. This waterfront is weed free, and a small, shallow area provides entry into the clear, refreshing lake before it quickly transitions to deeper water. Water shoes are highly recommended for added comfort on the rocky shoreline. A convenient ladder also provides an alternate way to enter and exit the beautiful, crystal-clear water.
This cottage has four bedrooms and sleeps eight people. Both the first and second bedrooms of the one- floor cottage feature a queen-sized bed, a dresser, and a mirror. The third bedroom has a bunk bed consisting of a double bed on the bottom and a twin-sized bed over top, and the fourth bedroom is complete with a single bed, a desk, and a desk chair. Each bedroom has a large window for natural daylight, and sliders that open if desired. The bedrooms are lit by wall-mounted lights that elevate the warm interior design, or a table lamp if extra lighting is needed.
One four-piece bathroom services the whole cottage, complete with a sink, toilet, glass stand-up shower, and separate bathtub, with luxe fixtures and the added luxury of in-floor heating. Through a door in the back of the bathroom, the stackable washer and dryer can be found.
Steps away from the bathroom is the kitchen, with a refrigerator, oven, gas range, dishwasher, and coffee maker for all meal-prepping needs. This dine-in kitchen is well-equipped with lots of extras including a live-edge dining table and bench, on-demand hot water, coffee grinder, Brita water jug, plenty of dinner ware, and acrylic items to use outside. There are two windows above the double sink with stylish fixtures. A large picture window offers a view of the lake from the kitchen while preparing meals or dining at the table with seating for eight.
The living room features a large, groovy orange U-shaped sectional that's perfect for the whole family to gather to play board games around the coffee table or to relax with a movie on the ~60-inch smart TV. Stay connected throughout your visit with reliable Starlink Wi-Fi, whether you're streaming your favorite shows, working remotely, or sharing your cottage memories. Floor-to-ceiling windows fill the space with natural light and offer beautiful views of the front yard and the lake, while a sliding glass door provides easy access to the outdoors and all the adventure that awaits.
For prime relaxation, the sauna is just outside, with room for up to six guests.
All stairs have secure railings and solar lights for dusk and evening darkness. There are ~ 35 illuminated stairs down to the waterfront. Cross a small walkway (8ft) with railings on each side, and down four more stairs to the boathouse rooftop. A loveseat for two, two wing type chairs with plush cushions, and a chic glass top patio table can be enjoyed under the fabric roofed gazebo. A contemporary patio table with large umbrella and six patio chairs offers room for all. A pair of reclining lounge chairs overlook the water. Stock up the wooden ice box and take in the stellar views of this lake.
Down the ~25 steps along the side of the boathouse is the waterfront. By the waters edge, there is a freestanding outdoor fireplace, or chiminea, surrounded by six newer style, solid, sturdy Muskoka chairs. The dock with a ladder, is accompanied by numerous watercraft.
With close access to snowmobile trails, ice fishing on the lake, and Winterfests celebrated in nearby towns, off season time is enjoyable as well.
On the trails, dock, in or on the water, all kinds of recreation opportunities are available at the Mayflower Lake House.

**Linen packages are available for this cottage, but vacationers are welcome to supply their own. A linen package includes sheets, pillowcases and towels for indoor use. The price for this will be shown as an option in the booking request form.
**Paper products: The cottage will provide enough to get you started, but vacationers must supply their own, including toilet paper and paper towels.
**Adult life jackets are supplied. Vacationers must bring their own children's life jackets due to safety and liability concerns
